Summary: Put two people going to the same place, in the same car, and the environment benefits.

Author's statement:
Cars produce a pound of ozone depleting, smog spewing,
air polluting exhast per mile. Cars are immensely damaging to
the world we live in, but we can do little about it because
our society is interwoven with them. We built a million miles
for them to drive on, they are going to be here for a while.
We as individuals can affect change by sharing the
journey with a co-worker, fellow student, family member or
friend. Put several people in the same car and the
environment benefits exponentially.
There are also social and economic benefits to car
pooling. Travel more environmentally friendly, share the
journey - car pool.
