When a person leaves their parent's home to live "on
their own," one is becoming more independent. A parent may
experience an increased desire for contact as they adapt to
their changing role as a parent. The parent may experiment
with remote parenting techniques that may include calling too
much, which can be frustrating to the person becoming more
independent of them. This frustration can be hurtful to the
parent and need not be exhibited.
	Parent's probably prefer sons and daughters to call
them. A person may benefit from calling a parent on one's
own terms like, when and how frequently, provided the parent
is getting enough contact. Except in extreme exceptions, it 
is beneficial to maintain contact with family members. One
may gain a greater sense of connectedness to one's roots,
one's community and humanity in general if filial ties are
maintained. One may experience a more fulfilling life.
	Friends and lovers may pass, family is forever.
	Call your mother.
