Summary: Any use that you can make of an item that might end up in the trash is a good use (recycling is always the best). Using newspaper and/or cardboard as fire starter instead of trashing it slows deforestation and minimizes landfill waste.

0 points - I buy processed fire logs that don't require firestarter.	5 points - I don't use newspaper as fire starter, I use it for news then I throw it away because it becomes old news in under 24hrs.	25 points - I throw alot of newspaper in the trash but I do use it as fire starter.
50 points - I don't read the paper so I don't have paper to burn, but I do burn what ever paper I happen to have.	75 points - I use newspaper or cardboard as fire starter.	100 points - I use old newspaper and cardboard as fire starter in my fireplace and barbeque instead of trashing them.
