Summary: Art reflects life. Looking at art helps us see the beauty
around us, in others and in ourselves.
Author's statement:
What is art? Art is relative to the perspective of the
viewer, it can be anything at all. It is more of an inner
concept. When art is intentionally displayed as such, we may
not agree on its beauty, but its reflectance of life should
never be debated. It is a silent dialogue between the artist
and viewer. The viewer may have varying degrees of openness
to what is being conveyed or implied and that is the
ultimate challenge. Openness is the key, something may be
easily impacting, but is one open to subtle messages in the
art? If one is not open to art, is one open to nature, or
humanity in general? Looking at art opens the soul, lifts
the spirit and encourages us to see everthing - the beauty
around us, in others and in ourselves.
