Hello everyone out there in Cyberland. I am posting this little bite of information in order
to bring awareness to a nasty problem in my backyard.
I want to promote an International boycott of a rather evil fiberglass company that builds
factories very dirty for their already dirty industry. They are attempting to expand in my
community, which is a closed valley and ill suited for such a toxic operation. Knauf has a
history of environmental and safety violations at their other plants and the more
information on our boycott we can get out, the better for our troubled Earth.
Please, if you feel that you would like to buy fiberglass insulation, I ask that you purchase
your insulation from a company other than Knauf. Companies that are better at
respecting the environment would be companies such as Certainteed and Manville.
Also please check out many of the greener non-fiberglass insulations like cellulose and
cotton.
You may visit our website, which explains our boycott in more detail at:
http://www.shastalake.com/air/
And here are some things that you can do to help stop Knauf from trying to pollute in our
Northern California valley even more than they are already allowed. They are trying to
buy "air credits" from a factory that closed in our area awhile back, so they can pollute
even more!
ACTION
Please write to Mike Kussow. Kussow is the Air Pollution Control Officer at Shasta
County's Air Quality Management District.
Formally request that he fine Knauf Fiber Glass each day they don't comply with their
PSD permit. Request that IF they do not comply with their air permit within thirty days,
close them down until they fix the problem, Please request a reply within 30 days.

ACTION
Please write to the Shasta County Board of Supervisors and urge them NOT to allow the
sale of 'pollution credits' from Shasta Paper Company to Knauf Fiber Glass. Knauf should
have to keep to the air pollution levels they were allowed in their permit. It is unjust for a
company to simply buy "dirty air credits" to avoid compliance with their original
promises to the public.

wish you the very best. Keep your heart wild and free.
