Hi I am new here. What an interesting site. Of course, everyone
has their own right to their own opinion. The US has always been
there to help others. I can't think of one time we have gone
in a place to occupy to conquer it.
Some of you crying that this war is unjust and immoral are
probably some of the same ones carrying signs for pro-choice.
You are worried that we are killing innocent civilians and
children when you think it is absolutely okay to kill a fetus.
More than half of the children in Iraq and some of the other Mid
East countries are probably the result of "un-planned" pregnancies
The result of rape by Saddam's brutal military and "gestapo".
The majority of the people want to be free of Saddam. Why should
the US be involved? Because we didn't get involved before Hitler
slaughtered hundreds of thousands. Hitler wanted to rule the
world. He was a self'centered, delusional man. Saddam is the
same way. Look at all the pictures, statues, his sick control
over the media there. Why was Saddam buying (against sanctions)
componenets to build a powerful, far-reaching nuke? Okay, so the
inspectors couldn't actually find the actual weapons. Wake up
people. I can't make spaghetti without tomato sauce, but when
I get the sauce, my dish is complete. People don't want to see
the big picture here. I don't understand.
AS for the censorship, we are telling of casualties but maybe not
totally until we have reliable confirmation. How do we really
know that these casualties have happened at our fault. The
Iraqis are murdering their own people. They are forcing women
and children to rush the roadblocks and checkpoints. They
are forcing small children to take up arms and fight against
the coalition. That government is crazy. Why should we sit back
and watch the world go by while these people are suffering? For
some of them, death is preferable to the conditions they have
been living in. Stop, research and listen to what some of the
defectors have been saying. Listen to Iraqi-Americans who want
to go fight against Sadaam. They know how awful it is for the
people there and want to help liberate their homeland.
Most of the anti-war protestors do not have a clue what is
really going on. This war is about so much more than most of us
know. Only after (long after) this battle in Iraq, will we know.
Most will be embarrassed and shamed as the news finally hits
home. "Oh my Gosh, if only I had known that, I would have not
rallied against my own government"> they will say.
