Hello, I am a nurse and mother of a child diagnosed with acute
lymphoblastic
leukemia at the age of 4. He is now 9 and doing well, thank God.
In my search for causation, I came upon the Tooth Fairy Project. The
Radiation and Public Health Project (www.radiation.org) are collecting baby
teeth and measuring for a radioactive substance, Strontium 90, present in
the
environment due to above ground nuclear weapons testing/fallout and nuclear
reactor emissions. Prior to the atomic bomb era and nuclear power,
Strontium
90 did not exist in the environment. Many veterans of the atomic era died
from cancers, leukemias, myelomas, skin and lung afflictions related to
this
fallout exposure. Strontium 90 is a particulate, and once released, settles
on land and water and enters the food chain. It's properties are similar to
calcium and binds to teeth and bones and continues to emit radioactivity in
the body for 28 + years although it decays over time. Some of the
preliminary
studies are linking increased Strontium 90 levels and childhood
cancers. I have sent my child's teeth to this important study.
Please help the Radiation and Public Health Project by donating baby teeth.
All baby teeth are needed, but if your child has cancer, you can receive
results of Strontium 90 tests. The Project would like the government to
consider nuclear power plants' emissions as reason to renew or revoke
licensure. Please check out the site at the hyperlink below and pass along
to
anyone interested in keeping our children healthy.

important research!
Thank you,
