Buffet City - West Los Angeles, California

FOOD: Buffet City defines great buffet dining on an international level. There are more then 168 different dishes daily to choose from. Chinese, Japanese, American, and Italian. Each week offers a rotating menu of various main dishes, side dishes with a huge salad bar, sushi counter and BBQ and grilled meats and fish. A nice selection of breads, tasty crescent rolls and a large assortment of tempting desserts. They also stock their salad bar with a large number of selections from the garden. My friends and I visited Buffet City at lunchtime and found the buffet overflowing with barbecue ribs, grilled shrimp and chicken on a stick - all falling off the bone, tender and delicious. Dinners Include lobster (seasonal), fresh crab, oysters, filet mignon, sushi, and sashimi. Remember; more then 168 prepared dishes are offered at one (1) very low price.

INCLUDED: Buffet City 's' sides are many, including corn on the cob, macaroni & cheese, sauteed green beans cooked till they melt in your mouth, mashed potatoes and brown gravy to name a few. The dessert table was filled with puddings, ice cream, and a nice selection of seasonal fruit. The smooth, fresh iced tea was the best I've had in quite sometime. As clients walks in, they are greeted by a friendly staff eager to please. You are seated and your drink order is taken. The exceptionally large steam tables are fit for a King and Queen. Serving up a huge array of recipes from around the world. The atmosphere is casual, friendly and comfortable. I was very pleased by the elaborate display and cleanliness of the restaurant. In addition, the waiters keep your sodas, teas and water glasses filled. Ample parking is available on the property at no additional charge. If You are a small or big eater and You want it to go, You can fill your plate and they will charge You by the weight. Buffet City also offers corporate, office and private catering at reasonable prices.

ATMOSPHERE: The recently built Buffet City on famed Wilshire Blvd, in the Granville Plaza in West Los Angeles with its high ceilings, comfortable booths and friendly staff radiates a comforting and welcome feeling. The cleanliness is truly apparent, and the large plasma televisions on the wall, lend to its use as a sports bar with its assortment of beers and wines from around the world. Offering a truly sophisticated , relaxed and casual atmosphere for a large group, family gathering or celebration of a birthday, anniversary or office party. SERVICE: Expect true 'Japanese hospitality' to be served up here with your lunch or dinner, as the staff offers every social courtesy. The plates are picked up immediately and your beverages refilled, almost immediately. I found the hostess, the waiter and the manager of Buffet City ready and eager to make You feel comfortable. comfortable. OTHER THOUGHTS: My companions and I found the setting to be gracious and the staff eager to please. The buffet style makes it fast and convenient to have a sit-down cooked meal on your lunch break and parking on the property is free. Remember it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, many think the various food stations are at an additional charge, it's all inclusive in its low price.

VALUE: Prices are what you would expect for a lunch-time buffet. However, considering how great the food is, and the over 168 international dishes to choose from, it's a real bargain.
