Greetings from NRDC. I thought the following would be of interest because it represents a great opportunity to send President Bush a message about global warming.
You probably know that Bush broke his campaign promise to cut CO2 emissions from power plants, the largest source of greenhouse gases in the U.S. Now the president is faced with a proposal to control emissions from motor vehicles, the second largest source of global warming pollution, and this time we all have a chance to weigh in.
The EPA is accepting comments until May 23rd on a petition to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles. The petition requests that the agency use a provision of the Clean Air Act to regulate the emissions of carbon dioxide and other global warming pollutants from new cars, SUVs, and light trucks. Please help us send a strong message to President Bush and the EPA.

Thanks for your time,
