You must realize that the Bible has many different translations and most of the stories contained within were passed on verbally for generations before anyone wrote them down. Additionally, the English we use today is very remote from ancient, Middle Eastern languages.
Also, it's the act of raising animals for meat that uses up water, land and grain resources. Which means your meat habit could reduce the amount of food available for others.
