I have no doubt that the regime of Saddam Hussein is wicked and oppresses its own people. Rather, I seriously question this unjust war because of the way it has come about. If the world is going to be serious about liberating oppressed people, then it really should be done with U.N. sanction. Dubya jumped the gun on this one and took us into a war the world does not support. Tell me: why is this war any more "legal" than when Iraq invaded Kuwait? We called that an illegal war because they had no sanction to prosecute it. We now have no sanction to prosecute our war, but we're big enough that we can get away with bullying other countries.
