I think you missed the point of the argument, but in
specific response to your point: Many cows eat
corn. Corn is a vegetable. I guess you know something
about grasses that I don't. Are they animals?
Any way, Adam's original argument is that vegetables
are very bit as alive as animals, and, therefore
vegetarians are as cruel for eating vegetables as
meat eaters are for eating meat. My 'pitiful' response
still holds:
Less living things die from a vegetarian diet than do
from a meat diet because more living things die feeding the
cow to produce the meat than would die if we only ate
vegetables (or, non-animals).
