I sincerely hope you are not as angry as you sound in your postings. However, you do have a point about feminism failing to make things truly equal. Men still make more money, hold the vast majority of the political power, and dominate industry around the world. As for women controlling reproduction, why the hell not!! WE carry the child within OUR bodies for nine months. WE must endure the nausea, vomiting, headaches, back pain, fatigue, engorged breasts, cramping, stretching, weight gain, and complete distortion of our abdomen, uterus, vaginal, and genitals (just to mention a few of the "side effects" of pregnancy). Not to mention the anxiety of being veiwed as less desirable or sexually damaged by men raised in a culture that emphasizes the thin young virgin as the pinnacle of sexuality. The fact that you see us as needing to be bred like dogs is exactly why the power of reproduction SHOULD be in our hands. By the way, my demanding that you respect my body and my wishes doesn't make me less of a woman; it makes me more of one because I refuse to be objectified.
On a scarier note, you sound as though you associate subjugation and slavery with marriage and children. Yet another reason why reproductive decisions are best left to US. To be clear, I'm not advocating abortion (I am a mother of 3), and I don't hate men (I'm also a damn good wife). I'm just glad that men with your views are in the minority ranks along with the KKK and other throwbacks from a less admirable period in our history. As for Andrea Yates, the fact that she had TOO MANY children for her psychological condition caused her to murder her children. Had she opted to abort the last one, the others may still be alive.
