spiritual healing. Mamaki is a particular species
of non-stinging nettles naturally found and currently
grown only in Hawaii.

thermal knit cotton,

To use neck pillows as hot packs heat for one and a
half minutes in an 1100 watt microwave oven. Adjust
heating times according to wattage of the microwave.
Increase time for lower wattage ovens; decrease time
for higher wattage ovens.
The pillows will retain heat for about 30 minutes,
depending on room temperature, and whether other
insulating material (such as blankets or other pillows)
is around the neck pillow.
Heated pillows feel cozy and comforting, smell
wonderful, ease tense muscles and can relieve
headache or neck ache.
Heat greatly increases the release of the fragrances
of the scented pillow. The peppermint provides a
mentholating effect, opening the pores of the skin
and helping to clear sinus passages. Lavender is
traditionally known for its soothing qualities.
Mamaki, described above, is a traditional Hawaiian
medicinal, and a low mellow note in the fragrance.
To use neck pillows as cold packs place neck
pillow in the freezer for a half hour or more.
Flax seeds don't stick to each other when frozen,
so the pillow will be freezing cold, but still
flexible and able to conform to your neck,
forehead and temples, or crown of your head.
(Or anywhere else you need a cold pack.)
For long term storage, store pillow in freezer
if possible. For general storage, the colder the
temperature and the less air circulation, the better.
Keeping the pillow in its resealable plastic bag will
help to keep it fresh. Air oxidizes the herbs.
Allow pillow to cool thoroughly before replacing in
sealed plastic bag.
